WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, ahead of the Jewish Federation of North America’s Pro-Israel Rally in Washington, D.C., Senator Rick Scott released the following statement standing in solidarity with Israel and those supporting our Jewish neighbors and communities today. The atrocities committed by Iran-backed Hamas terrorists during their October 7th attack, and their ongoing war in Israel, has killed more than 1,400 innocent people, including at least 33 Americans, while taking hundreds of Israelis hostage, including several Americans. Senator Scott is demanding the Biden administration bring American hostages home and has been a leading supporter of Israel defending itself and destroying Hamas.
Senator Rick Scott said, “Today, I join in solidarity with Israel, the Jewish community and all of the individuals who are making their voices heard through a peaceful march in Washington. We stand united with a simple but important message: the United States must ALWAYS stand with our great ally Israel and with Jewish Americans. Israel is fighting against Iran-backed Hamas terrorists for its very existence and Jewish Americans are facing unprecedented anti-Semitic attacks. Now is not the time to be silent. Iran-backed Hamas terrorists have murdered thousands with the intention of destroying Israel and the Jewish people. Hamas terrorists have beheaded babies, burned them alive, raped and murdered young women. These terrorists are STILL holding hundreds of people hostage, including a 3-year-old American child and other American citizens. I’ve talked to so many families of these hostages, and the heartbreak and agony they’ve been through is unthinkable. The United States MUST stand against this evil, get these Americans and hostages home and make clear to Iran, Russia, Cuba, Communist China and all evil regimes who hate our way of life that the U.S. will ALWAYS stand against terrorism.”
