Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has appointed Attorney General Ashley Moody to the U.S. Senate seat recently vacated by Senator Marco Rubio. The appointment has drawn attention from various sectors, including Florida's small business community.
Bill Herrle, Executive Director of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) in Florida, expressed his support for Moody's new role. "Attorney General Ashley Moody has been a fierce defender of Florida’s small businesses," he stated. Herrle further emphasized his confidence that Moody will continue her advocacy for small businesses at the federal level. "We know she will continue prioritizing these issues in the Senate, and we look forward to working with her in her new role."
During her tenure as Attorney General, Moody was recognized for efforts to shield small businesses from restrictive regulations and costly mandates. Her supporters believe she will bring this focus on economic issues to her work in Washington.
