A shooting at a Fort Lauderdale Wendy’s in the early morning hours of Sept. 21 claimed the lives of three people.
Fox News reported that the alleged shooter opened fire at the drive-thru of the fast food restaurant.
"We don’t believe that there is anyone out there intending to do additional harm to the public,” police Capt. Megan Jones said, according to Fox News reported.
The three fatalities from the domestic violence incident at the eatery located at 1091 W. Hallandale Beach Blvd., just east of Interstate 95, were a female, her male passenger and the suspect himself.
The shooter and the woman previously dated but had broken up because of his violent outbursts, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported.
Authorities told the publication that the man discovered his ex at the Wendy’s and drove his vehicle into hers.
The woman attempted to get away only to be felled by gunshots.
She and her passenger perished from their wounds while the gunman was discovered near the women’s car with a fatal self-inflicted gunshot wound, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported.
