The Tampa Bay Buccaneers began Phase II of their offseason workout program on May 4, following the conclusion of the 2026 NFL Draft. The team is now entering a three-week period that focuses on group instruction and on-field drills as part of preparations for the upcoming season.
This phase is voluntary and features walk-through pace workouts without live contact. Players are not required to attend until June’s mandatory minicamps, where veterans must participate. Organized team activities are scheduled for May 26-28, with additional sessions set for June 2-4 and June 9-11. The team’s mandatory mini camp will take place from June 16-18.
The nine-week offseason program is structured in three phases. Phase One consists of two weeks dedicated to meetings, strength and conditioning, and physical rehabilitation. In Phase Two, which just started, players engage in individual or group drills but do not compete in full-team offense versus defense scenarios. No live contact is permitted during this stage.
Phase Three covers the final four weeks of the program and allows teams up to ten days of organized team practice activity known as OTAs. While no live contact occurs during these practices, teams can conduct more advanced drills such as 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 exercises.
As the Buccaneers progress through their offseason schedule, attention will turn toward player development ahead of training camp later in the summer.
