Fort Lauderdale Entrepreneur Patrick Bet-David praised the work of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for his recent NewsNation town hall question-and-answer session.
Kennedy appeared in a town hall meeting on NewsNation, the straight-news 24-hour TV network owned by the Nexstar Media Group. The station was known for many years by the name Superstation WGN.
“A world class town hall done by Robert Kennedy Jr.” Bet-David tweeted on June 29. “Every single question was followed up by ideas or strategies to improve the country. He’s becoming a super necessary voice in this election.”
Kennedy spoke out and answered audience questions on a range of subjects including vaccine safety, the recent Supreme Court affirmative action decision, investing in America as well as assault weapons.
"I don't think most people know my stance on vaccines." Kennedy said at the town hall. "I'm not anti-vaccine and I've said that hundreds and hundreds of times and it doesn't matter because that is a way of using that pejorative to silence me and marginalizing me. I think virtually every American would agree with my stance on vaccines which is that vaccines should be tested like other medicines, they should be safety tested."
Kennedy went on to address what he saw as negative side effects from vaccines at the town hall and discussed disputes he's had with experts regarding whether vaccines are adequately tested. He believes that some vaccines can damage the immune systems and make it more difficult to fight of diseases that a given vaccine does not cover.
Bet-David, a New York Yankees minority owner, founded the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area company Valuetainment Investments Group LLC in 2021 and continues to lead the company, his LinkedIn biography says. He also started up the PHP Agency, a national insurance sales platform, in 2009, and continues to run that company's leadership as well.
