The Brevard County Board of County Commissioners is accepting applications for vacant positions on the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Citizens Advisory Committee.
The fifteen-member CDBG Citizens Advisory Committee was created to provide citizen participation in the identification of housing and community development needs for low to moderate income citizens. The CDBG Citizens Advisory Committee makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners regarding policies and federal funding that encourage infrastructure and other community development projects and public service activities.
Committee appointments expire after two years or with the term of the Commissioner making the appointment, whichever occurs first. Applicants sought:
• A resident who represents Micco.
• A resident who represents East Mims.
• A resident who represents Sharpes.
• A resident who represents West Canaveral Groves.
• A Representative from partner municipalities– Rockledge, Indian Harbour Beach, Indialantic, Melbourne Village, and Palm Shores.
• An at-large member from an unincorporated area.
