The 2022-2023 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges listed Broward College as one of the Top Southern Regional Colleges. The College has also improved its rankings in Best Southern Regional College and Top Performer on Social Mobility Among Southern Regional Colleges.
Serving as a guide for prospective students and their families, the U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings evaluate 1,500 colleges and universities on up to 17 measures of academic quality.
Broward College’s 2022-2023 rankings are as follows:
#1 in Least Debt Acquired by Students in Southern Regional Colleges
#12 in Top Public Schools Among Southern Regional Colleges (tie)
#36 in Social Mobility Among Southern Regional Colleges (previously #61 in 2020 ranking)
#54 in Best Southern Regional Colleges (previously #65-84 in 2020 ranking)

To calculate the rankings, U.S. News focuses on academic quality and places emphasis on outcome measures – including graduation rates, retention rates, graduate indebtedness, and social mobility. Outcomes are the most highly weighted ranking factor, contributing 40% to each school's overall score.
