Collier County Commissioners unanimously selected Amy Patterson as the County Manager at the Board of County Commissioners meeting on June 16, 2022. Patterson is the first woman to serve as County Manager in Collier County.
Born and raised in Naples, Patterson began her career in 2000 on the ground floor as a job-bank employee in the Growth Management Department. There she diligently worked, gaining valuable experience serving as Fiscal/Impact Fee Analyst, Impact Fee Coordinator, and Director Capital Project Planning/Impact Fees & Program Management. The Board of County Commissioners confirmed Patterson's promotion to Deputy County Manager in May 2021.
As Deputy County Manager, Patterson was charged with oversight of daily operations of the County agency, including the Capital Program, and assistance in the direction of the senior departmental leadership. Her accomplishments include centralizing countywide capital programs to ensure their efficiency, effectiveness, and cohesiveness, focusing on long-term capital maintenance planning and replacing critical assets.
Patterson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. She belongs to several professional organizations and is a frequent guest lecturer throughout the community, the state, and around the country.
