Pinellas County Schools issued the following announcement on Mar. 4.
The theme of the 2022 K-12 Youth Art Showcase is “Black History and Culture. Fifty-two works are on display at The Gallery at Creative Pinellas through April 3. The gallery is located at 12211 Walsingham Road in Largo.
An opening reception took place on Feb. 26 during the African American Heritage Celebration festival. All the students received a certificate recognizing their visual arts achievement
Special thanks to Shauné Ferguson, recruiter in the PCS Human Resources Department, who created this new show and worked hard to make sure it was a success. She shared information about the Black Heritage Celebration and student artwork during a recent 10 News Tampa Bay news story.
