Florida Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Feb. 24.
What does your business do? For over 30 years, DITEK has designed and manufactured surge protection, UPS solutions, and networking hardware for the commercial and industrial market. Our primary objective is to keep vital business systems functioning and communicating at all times while preventing the escalation of problems caused by a surge, spike, or loss of power.
What’s your biggest concern as a small business owner? As a manufacturer, our biggest concern is the acute labor shortage caused by the pandemic and the retirement of baby boomers. We continuously focus on attracting, developing, and retaining skilled labor to meet customer demands and grow our business. We are committed to fostering a company culture that respects diversity and encourages employees to reach their full potential. This continued focus on employee engagement and development has resulted in DITEK being one of Tampa Bay’s Top Workplaces 13 years in a row.
Tell us why you joined the Small Business Council and what you would say to other business leaders about the benefit and value of this council. We joined the Florida Chamber Small Business Council to learn and engage with other businesses experiencing the same challenges and stay up-to-date on critical issues impacting small businesses.
