Florida Secretary of State issued the following announcement on Nov. 3.
Following Governor Ron DeSantis’ announcement to strengthen election integrity, Secretary of State Laurel M. Lee announced the launch of the elections integrity website that will ensure Floridians have access to accurate information about the security and integrity of Florida’s elections. Access the elections integrity website at DOS.MyFlorida.com/Elections/Integrity to learn more about how the Florida Department of State is working to ensure all votes are safe, secure and counted. Earlier today, Governor DeSantis announced a legislative proposal to create the Office of Election Crimes and Security within the Department of State, you can read more about that announcement here.
“We are excited to say that next legislative session we are proposing another package of election integrity reforms that will make Florida the number one state for elections,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. “I am excited that with this legislation, our state will be able to enforce election violations, combat voter fraud and make sure violators are held accountable. If potential violators know they will be held accountable, they will be much less likely to engage in improper conduct in the first place.”
“In Florida, we are very fortunate to have the strong leadership of Governor Ron DeSantis who, since the very beginning of his administration, has taken the lead on enhancing Florida’s election security,” said Secretary Lee. “With the launch of the Elections Integrity website, the public will have a reliable source for transparent information and resources to combat election fraud. We are committed to building voter confidence in our elections and this website will help to strengthen that confidence.”
The Elections Integrity website provides the public with links to post-election audit reports, certification procedures and voter fraud complaint forms. The website contains information about voter fraud complaints the Department has received and how many have been referred to law enforcement and prosecuting authorities.
The Florida Department of State is confident in the accuracy and security of our 2020 election results, and is committed to continuing to strengthen Florida’s elections process even more in the coming years.
