City of Brooksville issued the following announcement on Aug. 26
Notice is hereby given that the Tom Varn Stadium Bleachers are closed until further notice.
On June 30, 2021, the City of Brooksville Parks and Recreation Department announced the closure of Tom Varn Stadium Bleachers.
The City is actively engaged with DRMP, Inc., a professional engineering firm, who recently completed a structural evaluation for deck repairs/improvements and ADA accessibility for the Tom Varn Stadium, as a result the stadium bleachers were found to be structurally unsound.
DRMP will draft the Scope of Work that is needed for a project of this magnitude/technical requirements. Once the Scope of Work is finalized the project will follow the City’s formal procurement procedures for construction of this Capital Improvement Project (CIP).
