Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer issued the following announcement on July 27.
The vaccine works. It protects against serious illness and death from COVID-19. The fact that unvaccinated people account for nearly all of the COVID-19 hospitalizations in our region shows that the vaccine protects from the impacts of the virus and what can happen when a person is not vaccinated.
If you haven't gotten the vaccine yet, now is the time to get it and take action to protect yourself.
