CITY OF DEERFIELD BEACH: City of Deerfield Beach Food Distribution - January 15, 2021

Food

City of Deerfield Beach issued the following announcement on Jan. 5

The City of Deerfield Beach, in partnership with Feeding South Florida, continues to provide food to families in need with a drive-thru food distribution on Friday, January 15, 2021, from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., at Quiet Waters Park, 401 Powerline Rd.

MAIN PARK ENTRANCE WILL BE CLOSED. Enter westbound through the Hillsboro Blvd entrance just east of Turnpike and west of Quiet Waters Elementary on the south side of the road.

Volunteers are still needed to assist the City of Deerfield Beach in the distribution of perishable and nonperishable food to families and individuals during this crisis. Volunteers will be placing the food in the trunk of the car with no direct contact. To volunteer, visit https://volunteer.feedingsouthflorida.org/opportunity/a0C3Z00000Hpq7zUAB.

SAFETY ALERT: Feeding South Florida takes safety seriously and follows CDC protocols. We can only do our work by adhering to health requirements. We ask that all volunteers help keep our team and each other safe by staying six feet apart, wearing masks and gloves, and refrain from touching – even elbows or feet – as a way of greeting one another. It's a food service mandate to follow these protocols. We provide gloves but not able to provide a mask.
