Students gathered for a recent conservative summit erupted into wild applause as conference organizers took a live call from the president.
The Dec. 21 event, organized by Turning Point USA (TPUSA), drew thousands of students who erupted with excitement when President Donald Trump made a surprise live call to TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk.
“It sounds like a big crowd of beautiful people,” Trump said. “I appreciate everybody there.”
Trump went on to praise Kirk for being at the forefront of the fight to overturn the election.
“We are fighting really for the country, because we won this election by a landslide...it's all documented,” he said.
Trump said that his campaign needs more backing and needs a party that's going to continue to fight for justice despite the opposition.
“We won by a landslide,” he reiterated. “They know it, and we need backing from the Justice Department and some other people that need to step up. But I just wanted to thank Charlie for the support. Charlie has always been there.”
After the call, the crowd erupted in applause and began chanting “Four more years.”
TPUSA is a right-wing organization founded in 2012 that advocates for conservative principles at high schools, colleges, and university campuses.
