CITY OF MIAMI: City of Miami Department of Solid Waste to Close on Christmas Day

City of Miami issued the following announcement on Dec. 15

In observance of Christmas Day, the City of Miami Department of Solid Waste will be closed on Friday, December 25. No garbage, bulky trash or recycling services will be provided that day and until the department resumes its normal operations beginning Monday, December 28.  

City of Miami residents are reminded to hold their garbage and bulky trash until the next pickup day on their schedule.  

Residents who are scheduled to receive recycling service on Friday, December 25 are being provided an alternate recycling pickup day of Wednesday, December 23. Please see recycling calendars for more information.  

Once services resume, residents are reminded to place their garbage, recycling or bulky trash items in front of their home five feet away from all objects on the public right of way.
