City of Margate issued the following announcement on Nov. 4
Join us on Saturday, November 14th at 10 a.m. for the unveiling of the bronze Army Sentry Dog statue of "Rex" at the dog park at Firefighters Park, 2500 Rock Island Road. Attendees are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Vincenzo J. Ruffino donated the life-size bronze statue of Rex as part of his Eagle Scout project. Along with the statue, there is an interpretative sign, bronze plaque and landscaping. Vincenzo is a member of Boy Scout Troop 497.
