CITY OF BAYNTON BEACH: City Library Celebrates Library Card Sign-Up Month

Lib

City of Baynton Beach issued the following announcement on Aug. 31

September is Library Card Sign-up Month, a time when Boynton Beach City Library joins the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries nationwide to remind parents, caregivers and students that signing up for a library card is the first step on the path to academic achievement and lifelong learning.

There is nothing more empowering than signing up for your own library card. Through access to technology, media resources and educational programs, a library card gives students the tools to succeed in the classroom and provides people of all ages opportunities to pursue their dreams and passions. The Boynton Beach City Library possesses a wide variety of educational resources and activities. These include research databases, craft tutorials, family story times, homework assistance, ESOL coaching, and online skill training.

This summer, the library officially opened at its new location inside Boynton Beach City Hall. With the new space came a number of modern features, including a computer lab, laptop kiosks, automated book return, and self-checkout kiosks—all designed to enhance the library guest experience.

“Applying for a library card is the best return on investment for your future success,” said Library Director Craig Clark. “Please take advantage of our free resources, research expertise and beautiful new facility.”

Boynton Beach City Library continues to adapt and expand services to meet the evolving needs of our community. To sign up for a library card or to learn more about the library’s resources and programs, please visit boyntonlibrary.org or call 561-742-6390.
