City of Margate issued the following announcement on Aug. 26
Mayor Tommy Ruzzano and the Margate City Commission will host a mask and hand sanitizer giveaway on Saturday, August 29th at 9 a.m. at 5701 Margate Boulevard. The drive-thru mask distribution will take place at the northwest corner of Margate Boulevard and State Road 7.
The Margate City Commission purchased 25,000 reusable face masks for its residents. Nearly 15,000 of these masks were distributed to senior communities – 55+ condominium associations and communities. The remaining masks will be distributed on a first come, first served basis on Saturday. Packages will be placed in the trunk of each car. Residents are asked to bring proof of residency.
This mask and hand sanitizer giveaway is an effort by the City of Margate to help residents stay safe when in public to slow the spread of COVID-19. This event is the second mask giveaway hosted by the City of Margate.
