City of Jupiter issued the following announcement on Aug. 6
From Wednesday, August 12 through Sunday, August 23 Indiantown Road will be closed at the ALT A1A Railroad Crossing due to Virgin Trains/ GoBrightline Construction.
This will be a continuous full road closure beginning 6:00 am on Wednesday, August 12 through 6:00 pm on Sunday, August 23. This closure is due to work being performed to install railroad crossing improvements including the construction of new tracks, upgrades to the existing railroad signalization and road work.
Detour Info:
Brightline/Virgin Trains is posting the following detour Information (click here to view map)
- Westbound Indiantown Road traffic will detour south on Alternate A1A/SR 811 to Donald Ross Road, travel west on Donald Ross Road to Military Trail, travel North on Military Trail to Indiantown Road
- Eastbound Indiantown Road traffic will detour south on Military Tr. to Donald Ross Road, travel East on Donald Ross Road to Alternate A1A/SR 811 and travel north on Alternate A1A/SR 811 to access Indiantown Road
Westbound:
- Detour north on Alternate A1A, then west on Center Street and south on Loxahatchee Drive to access Indiantown Road
- Detour south on Alternate A1A, then west on Toney Penna Drive and north on Military Trail to access Indiantown Road
- Detour south on Old Dixie Highway to Toney Penna Drive, north on Alternate A1A to access Indiantown Road
- Detour north on Loxahatchee Drive to Center Street, East on Center Street, south on Alternate A1A to access Indiantown Road
