City of Wellington issued the following announcement on August 1
Wellington continues to monitor Hurricane Isaias. Our community remains under a tropical storm warning (Dangerous winds of 55 mph and up may arrive near Wellington overnight into Sunday morning). Palm Beach County issued a State of Local Emergency beginning July 30, 2020.
Now is the time to make last-minute preparations for the storm. Given the potential for debris on roads, please avoid driving during these hours. Please do not leave your home unless necessary.
Waste Collection Suspended
NO WASTE COLLECTION THIS WEEKEND. The Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County has suspended waste collection this weekend in anticipating of Hurricane Isaias. This includes household waste, recycling, and bulk pickup.
Do not place any debris at the curb after a tropical storm watch/warning or hurricane watch/warning has been issued and before a storm impacts our community. If we have already conducted your normal residential yard waste pickup for this week and you leave additional yard waste prior to your next scheduled pickup, we will not be able to pick it up until after the storm passes.
