Insurance Made EZ LLC has announced that several Florida homeowners insurance companies will lower their premiums in 2025, with more expected to file for additional rate reductions. The announcement was made on LinkedIn.

According to the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (FLOIR), reciprocal insurance exchanges, which are member-owned and policyholder-driven alternatives, have strengthened Florida’s property insurance market by increasing insurer participation and stabilizing capacity. In 2023, FLOIR approved multiple new reciprocals, including Condo Owners Reciprocal Exchange, expanding market options during a week when incoming hurricane threats pressured the insurance supply. This influx demonstrates how reciprocal models, which pool risk among policyholders rather than shareholders, contribute to resilience and consumer confidence in hurricane-prone regions.

Insurance Journal reported that Florida-based reciprocal insurers such as Florida Peninsula and Ovation Home Insurance Exchange have leveraged their not-for-profit-like structure to reduce premiums and avoid the sharp rate hikes common in traditional markets. Since they aren’t shareholder-driven, these exchanges can redistribute cost-saving surplus to members instead of investors, leading to tangible savings for policyholders. Recent industry analyses confirm that these premium reductions have begun to ease homeowners’ insurance burdens in Florida during 2024–2025.

According to Insurance Business, the entry of new reciprocal exchanges like Ovation, Manatee, and Orange Insurance Exchange has broadened Florida’s insurance marketplace by introducing consumer-centric competition and specialized coverage options. Industry experts highlight that these entities operate similarly to mutuals but are often more nimble, spreading risk through subscriber pools managed by external attorneys-in-fact. Agents report that reciprocals offer reliable claims service and innovative policy designs, providing homeowners with choices beyond the major national carriers.

Insurance Made EZ LLC is an independent agency based in Boynton Beach, FL. It was founded by Douglas Ragan with the aim of offering more customized insurance solutions rather than standardized plans. The agency focuses on health, life, and Medicare plans while emphasizing simplified consumer-focused service rather than being tied to any single carrier.
