WASHINGTON, D.C. – On February 12, 2024, Senator Rick Scott spoke on the Senate floor regarding the Senate’s ongoing foreign aid negotiations. Senator Scott requested that the Senate hold a vote on adding his Stop Taxpayer Funding of Hamas Act to the supplemental funding bill to ensure no taxpayer dollars go toward funding Hamas’ terror under the guise of Palestinian aid and requires the president to certify there are no hostages in Gaza. Nearly a year ago, Senator Scott reintroduced his Stop Taxpayer Funding of Hamas Act, which was introduced following Biden’s State Department’s admission that American taxpayer dollars could potentially fund Hamas terrorists through Palestinian aid. Earlier this Congress and back in 2021, Senate Democrats blocked the passage of this bill. Unfortunately, Senate Democrats blocked its passage again today.
