Junior pitcher Rothrock was named National Pitcher of the Week by the National Fastpitch Coaches’ Association (NFCA) and Softball America, as well as Southeastern Conference (SEC) Pitcher of the Week, according to an April 14 announcement.

The recognition comes after Rothrock threw her third career no-hitter on Friday against South Carolina. These awards highlight her performance in both national and conference play.

In her first career SEC no-hitter, Rothrock struck out eight batters and allowed only five walks. This achievement marks her first seven-inning no-hitter; her previous two came in five-inning games during Gator victories. The last time she threw a no-hitter was against Cal State Fullerton on March 1, 2024.

Over two appearances in Columbia, Rothrock earned two wins while giving up just one run and four hits across 12.2 innings pitched. She finished the weekend with a .55 earned run average and totaled 14 strikeouts.

Rothrock is the first Florida pitcher to receive NFCA Pitcher of the Week since Kelly Barnhill in 2019 and SEC Pitcher of the Week since Elizabeth Hightown in 2023.

These awards reflect Rothrock’s strong contributions to Florida Gators Softball this season.
