Ulysses Robinson, Jr., a 41-year-old resident of Pensacola, Florida, has been sentenced to 20 years in federal prison following his conviction on charges related to armed robbery and firearm offenses. The announcement was made by John P. Heekin, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida.
According to court records, Robinson and Ladarryl Paige entered a business on North Davis Highway on December 16, 2024. Both men held several individuals at gunpoint and stole approximately $10,000 in cash along with marijuana found at the scene. During the incident, Robinson discharged his firearm while forcing victims to comply with their orders. Law enforcement identified both suspects through video surveillance footage and electronic evidence analysis. Paige had previously pleaded guilty to the same charges.
Robinson is a convicted felon who has previously served time in state prison.
U.S. Attorney Heekin stated: “I am incredibly proud to deliver yet another successful prosecution under Operation Take Back America, which was launched at the direction of President Donald J. Trump and Attorney General Pam Bondi to unleash the full power of the Department of Justice to incapacitate violent offenders, like these defendants, who have terrorized our communities with their crimes. My office will continue to aggressively prosecute and send to federal prison every dangerous felon who dares to threaten the safety of our residents.”
Cheryl Harrell, Acting Special Agent in Charge for ATF Tampa Field Division, commented: “This is an incredible public safety win for residents of Northwest Florida. We’re proud to have leveraged our expertise to help Pensacola Police Department bring this violent offender to justice.”
The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) together with the Pensacola Police Department. Assistant United States Attorney David L. Goldberg prosecuted the case.
This prosecution falls under Operation Take Back America, an initiative that uses resources from the Department of Justice targeting illegal immigration and criminal organizations involved in violent crime as well as human and drug trafficking.
