Orinthian Frazier, a 46-year-old resident of Panama City, Florida, has pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. The announcement was made by John P. Heekin, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida.
U.S. Attorney Heekin stated: “I applaud the outstanding work of the Bay County Sheriff’s Office, with support from our federal law enforcement partners, to remove this repeat offender from our streets. My office stands shoulder-to-shoulder with our law enforcement partners in the mission to keep our communities safe, and we will continue to aggressively prosecute these crimes to deliver on the promise made by President Donald J. Trump and Attorney General Pam Bondi to Take Back America from the violent offenders who have terrorized our streets for too long.”
According to investigators from the Bay County Sheriff’s Office, in March 2025 they received information that Frazier, who has previous convictions including Sale of Cocaine, Sale of Heroin, Grand Theft, and Burglary, was selling illegal firearms. Investigators arranged and carried out a controlled purchase of three handguns. After the undercover transaction, Frazier was arrested and found with marked currency used in the operation.
Frazier is scheduled for sentencing on February 5, 2026 at the U.S. Courthouse in Tallahassee before United States District Court Judge Mark Walker. He could face up to fifteen years in prison.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives worked with the Bay County Sheriff’s Office on this investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Eric K. Mountin is prosecuting the case.
This prosecution is part of Operation Take Back America—a nationwide Department of Justice initiative aimed at addressing illegal immigration, dismantling cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), and protecting communities from violent crime.
