North Florida Baseball lost its midweek game against No. 8 Florida State, 4-1, at Harmon Stadium on April 21.
The result marks a setback for North Florida as the team continues its season. The game featured notable performances from several players despite the loss.

Florida State took an early lead by scoring one run in the top of the third inning and added runs in both the fifth and sixth innings to go up by three runs. Junior infielder Mathew Farner brought North Florida closer with his thirty-first run batted in (RBI) of the season via a sacrifice fly during the bottom of the sixth inning, cutting the deficit to two runs.
Jackson Schrafft, a redshirt junior utility player, delivered a pinch-hit double off the left-field wall in the bottom of the ninth inning but North Florida was unable to close further on their opponent’s lead before time ran out.
