The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has announced its endorsement of Senator Rick Scott for re-election to the United States Senate. The decision, made public on May 13, 2024, during a campaign event at Ascend Engineering in Largo, underscores the organization’s support for Scott’s track record in advocating for small businesses.

Bill Herrle, NFIB’s Florida Executive Director, expressed his support stating, “There is no question that Senator Scott has been a staunch ally of small businesses in our state. As a former Florida governor, he has a strong record of advocating for pro-growth policies and has continued his commitment to those policies as a U.S. Senator. Senator Scott has earned a 100% NFIB voting record for this session and supports important legislation such as the Main Street Tax Certainty Act, which he is a co-sponsor of and a top priority for our members. We are confident that Senator Scott will continue to be a reliable advocate for Florida’s small businesses and we’re proud to endorse him today.”

Sharon Sussin, NFIB’s Senior National Political Director, added, “Senator Scott knows our members well and the issues that are most important to them. He has a solid record of promoting legislation that strengthens the small business economy and encourages small business owners to grow and thrive. We look forward to continuing to work with him.”

The endorsement originates from NFIB FedPAC, the organization’s political action committee. This committee is financed by voluntary contributions from NFIB members, beyond their regular membership dues. The decisions of NFIB FedPAC are guided by grassroots evaluation conducted by its members.
