Megan Baker, founder and CEO of The Baker Agency, was named a national finalist in the Business Entrepreneurs category of the PRNEWS Top Women in PR & Communications Awards, according to an April 22 announcement. This recognition comes as her agency approaches its 20-year milestone and continues to expand its presence in Florida.

The award highlights women who have made significant contributions to brand reputation, storytelling, and leadership within the communications industry. Baker is among a select group recognized nationwide for advancing the field.

“This recognition is incredibly meaningful,” said Megan Baker. “As we approach 20 years in business, it reflects not only our evolution into a national agency, but also the extraordinary dedication of our team and the trust our clients place in us from across the country. We are proud to help organizations nationwide tell their stories and achieve their goals.”

Founded in 2007, The Baker Agency has expanded its services across Florida while rebranding from Baker Public Relations to reflect its full-service communications offerings. Recent work includes supporting events such as the “Passport to Paris” charitable fashion event at The Sundial in St. Petersburg, which raised over $100,000 for local nonprofits and drew nearly 250 attendees. The campaign benefited organizations including The Children’s Dream Fund and The Hambrick Foundation and was recognized as a finalist for Best Public Relations Campaign at the Capital Region MarCom Awards.

Baker also dedicates time to mentorship and community involvement by supporting students, nonprofit groups, and entrepreneurs.

Honorees will be celebrated on June 4 in New York City.
