The City of Lauderdale Lakes announced on April 15 that registration is now open for its Youth Football and Cheer program, which will serve children ages 5 to 13 in the upcoming season.

The program aims to provide a safe and structured environment where young athletes can develop their skills, build confidence, and learn teamwork. According to the announcement, both football players and cheerleaders will have access to high-quality coaching and opportunities for community engagement.

Early registration is available for $85 until June 30. After this date, fees increase to $100 for residents and $135 for non-residents. Proof of residency is required for those seeking the resident rate. Registration takes place at Vincent Torres Memorial Park, located at 4331 NW 36th Street in Lauderdale Lakes.

Sessions are scheduled every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. The program includes divisions such as Super Peewee through age thirteen (13U).

City officials say they hope the initiative will foster positive experiences among participants while strengthening community ties.
