Christian Eric Harmon, a 38-year-old resident of Kissimmee, was sentenced on Apr. 15 to 17 years and six months in federal prison for the receipt of child sexual abuse material. U.S. District Judge Anne-Leigh Gaylord Moe handed down the sentence after Harmon pleaded guilty on August 7, 2025. The announcement was made by U.S. Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe.
According to court documents, Harmon engaged in an online chat on April 7, 2024, where he requested and received approximately twenty-two videos depicting the sexual abuse of children, including infants.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation led the investigation into Harmon’s activities. Assistant United States Attorney Kaley Austin-Aronson prosecuted the case.
This prosecution is part of Project Safe Childhood, a national initiative started by the Department of Justice in May 2006 to address child sexual exploitation and abuse cases across the country. The program brings together federal, state, and local resources with a focus on identifying offenders and rescuing victims.
