Three individuals who were previously deported from the United States have been indicted for illegal reentry, according to an announcement by United States Attorney John P. Heekin. These cases are part of a broader immigration enforcement effort.
Freddy Bravo Galvez, 32, from Mexico, was found in Tallahassee in June 2025 after being deported in 2013 and 2020. Marco Tulio Gonzalez-Oliva, 25, from Honduras, was located in Fort Walton Beach in March 2024 following his deportation in 2023. Jose Alfredo Morales-Huerta, 48, also from Mexico, was discovered in Pensacola in June 2025 after being deported in 2019.
The charge of illegal reentry carries a maximum penalty of two years imprisonment and a $250,000 fine. The investigations are being conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement along with Homeland Security Investigations. Assistant United States Attorneys Eric Mountin, Jessica Etherton, and Brooke DiSalvo will prosecute these cases.
It is important to note that “an indictment is merely an allegation by a grand jury that a defendant has committed a violation of federal criminal law and is not evidence of guilt.” The defendants remain presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt.
These indictments fall under Operation Take Back America, which aims to address illegal immigration and related crimes through coordinated efforts across the Department of Justice’s resources.
