A former Orlando middle school employee, Terrell Myron Foy, has been sentenced to 14 years in federal prison for attempted enticement of a minor to engage in sexual activity. U.S. District Judge Paul G. Byron also ordered the forfeiture of Foy’s cellphone, which was used during the commission of the offense. Foy, 33, from Winter Park, pleaded guilty on April 24, 2025.

Court documents show that Foy began a romantic relationship with a 13-year-old student in December 2023 while employed at the school. In January 2024, the Orlando Police Department received a “Speak Out” complaint regarding his communications with the student and initiated an investigation. The Orlando Police Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation obtained warrants for Foy’s home, cellphone, and several social media accounts used by both Foy and the student.

Investigators found hundreds of messages between Foy and the student in which he enticed her to engage in sexual activity. The investigation also revealed that Foy bought gifts for the student and arranged meetings with her both on and off school grounds. Messages were also discovered where Foy instructed the student not to speak with law enforcement.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Orlando Police Department and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Michael Sartoian.

“This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. Led by United States Attorneys’ Offices and the Criminal Division’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section (CEOS), Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state, and local resources to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who sexually exploit children, and to identify and rescue victims.
