Garey A. Buscaino, a 48-year-old resident of Pensacola, Florida, is facing federal charges for producing and possessing child pornography over a ten-year period. The charges were announced by John P. Heekin, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida.

Buscaino’s arraignment is set for July 22, 2025, at the United States Courthouse in Pensacola before Magistrate Judge Zachary C. Bolitho.

The indictment accuses Buscaino of producing child pornography involving four minor females between 2015 and 2025 and possessing pornography involving minors under the age of twelve.

If convicted, he could face up to thirty years in prison for each count related to production and up to twenty years for possession charges.

The investigation is a joint effort by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations. Assistant United States Attorney David L. Goldberg is prosecuting the case.

An indictment signifies an allegation made by a grand jury but does not equate to evidence of guilt. Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt during trial proceedings.

This case falls under Project Safe Childhood, an initiative started in May 2006 aimed at tackling child sexual exploitation and abuse through coordinated efforts among federal, state, and local agencies.
