The request seeks detailed records under Article I, section 24 of the Florida Constitution, and chapter 119, F.S., preferably in electronic format.

The specific information requested includes:

1. The number of job applications received by the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, categorized by week, month, or year.
2. Identification of the department or individual responsible for tracking these application numbers.

This request is part of an effort by the Sunshine Sentinel to ensure transparency and accountability within public institutions. As a member of the media, we emphasize that access to such public records is crucial for fulfilling our professional responsibilities.
