Florida’s Toll Relief Program has reported over $247 million in savings for commuters in its first six months. The program, initiated in April, aims to reduce toll expenses for frequent travelers in the state.

Jared W. Perdue, P.E., Secretary of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), highlighted the financial impact on residents: “Florida commuters have saved nearly one-quarter of a billion dollars thanks to Governor Ron DeSantis’ Toll Relief Program.” He added that families and small businesses benefit from monthly savings.

The program provides SunPass users with at least 35 toll transactions per month a 50 percent credit. This initiative follows the success of the 2022 SunPass Savings program and extends through March 2025.

Governor Ron DeSantis launched this one-year relief program to aid Floridian families, which credited customers approximately $470 million last year. This year’s extension reaffirms his commitment to economic support for residents.

Managed by Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise, the program involves SunPass and other tolling agencies across the state. To participate, customers should ensure their transponders are correctly mounted and accounts are current.
