Florida State men’s golf to compete in ACC Championship at Shark’s Tooth Golf Course

The No. 24 Florida State men’s golf team will compete in the 2026 Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Championship, scheduled to take place at the Shark’s Tooth Golf Course at the Watersound Club in Panama City Beach, Florida, from April 23 to April 27.

The Seminoles enter the tournament as the No. 5 seed, determined by Scoreboard Rankings released on April 15. The team is set to begin its first round of stroke play on Thursday at 9:22 a.m. Eastern Time from the 10th hole and will be paired with Georgia Tech and Duke for this opening round.

The championship format includes three rounds of stroke play running through Saturday, followed by match play starting Sunday. Live scoring for all rounds will be available on Clippd.

Florida State recently finished second at the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial after shooting a combined score of 26-under-par (826). Two Seminole golfers placed in the top ten: Jack Whaley tied for sixth place with an eight-under score of 205, while Wilmer Edero finished close behind at six-under (207), including setting a tournament record with an opening-round score of 63.

Tyler Weaver was named ACC Co-Golfer of the Month for March following his win at the Valspar Collegiate where he shot a total score of fifteen-under-par (198), tying both the third-lowest mark in program history and fourth lowest in tournament history.

Other teams competing alongside Florida State include Virginia, North Carolina, Stanford, Georgia Tech, Duke, Notre Dame, Wake Forest, Clemson, Louisville, Southern Methodist University (SMU), North Carolina State University (NC State), California, Virginia Tech and Boston College.
