Small business owners from across Florida gathered in Tallahassee this week for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) annual Small Business Day. The event began on Monday, February 2, with the Boots & Business dinner. Attendees heard from Michael Yaworksy, Florida’s Insurance Commissioner, who served as the keynote speaker.
The following day, February 3, NFIB hosted its Small Business Day at the Governor’s Club. During the event, small business owners had the opportunity to hear from several elected officials. Speakers included Representative Ryan Chamberlin, Attorney General James Uthmeier, Senator Keith Truenow, Senator Stan McClain, Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia, Representative Judson Sapp, and Representative Toby Overdorf.
NFIB also highlighted that it has recently released its top priorities for the 2026 legislative session.
