The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) is urging Florida residents to support local businesses during the 2025 Back to School Sales Tax Holiday. The event will run throughout August, beginning Friday, Aug. 1 and ending Sunday, Aug. 31.

Bill Herrle, NFIB Florida Executive Director, said: “This year’s annual Back to School Sales Tax Holiday is extended for the entire month of August and is a great opportunity to support Florida’s small businesses. Small businesses are the engine of the state’s economy, and when you shop locally, you’re keeping your hard-earned money in the community and strengthening the local economy. We encourage shoppers to visit your local small businesses this month and take advantage of the savings.”
