The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is seeking partners statewide to provide free meals to children from low-income families through the Summer BreakSpot Program. The department aims to increase collaboration with local nonprofits, schools, residential summer camps, and faith-based organizations to reach more unserved children.

Registration for sponsors for the 2026 Summer BreakSpot Program is now open. The deadlines are set to ensure timely approval and operation readiness for all sponsors. Those requesting an advance for June or July must submit a complete application by March 15, 2026, while those not requesting an advance have until April 15, 2026. Approval must be secured before the program starts.
