Florida House advances bill to lower business rent tax to 1.25

The Florida House of Representatives has given the nod to House Bill 7031, a legislative move aiming to decrease the state’s sales tax on commercial rents and leases. This bill proposes a reduction from a state base rate of 2% to 1.25%.

Florida residents are now being encouraged to reach out to their State Senators, urging them to support and pass the legislation in the Senate.

“TAKE ACTION! Contact your State Senator today and ask them to support the reduction of the business rent tax!” the call to action states.
