Three men from the Orlando area have been arrested and charged with a total of 81 felony counts related to possession of child sexual abuse materials, according to an announcement by Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier. The suspects, identified as Jorge Armando Nieto, 39, Martin Theodore Cassady, 61, and Joel Orellana, 25, were taken into custody following investigations led by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s Cybercrimes Task Force.

The investigation began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children provided tips to authorities. Search warrants executed during the operation uncovered graphic content depicting sexual abuse involving children and animals on the suspects’ personal devices. Some victims shown in the materials appear to be younger than two years old.

Attorney General Uthmeier stated: “The depraved individuals who choose to engage in and trade content showing the sexual abuse of children will be caught and prosecuted to the fullest. Protecting our kids is my utmost priority, and I am confident in our Statewide Prosecutors’ ability to hold these predators accountable for this abhorrent behavior.”

Assistant Statewide Prosecutor Rodrigo Caruco will handle prosecution in Florida’s Ninth Judicial Circuit. Authorities noted that their investigations are ongoing and additional charges may be filed as more information becomes available.
