Jacksonville University announced on Apr. 21 that five student-athletes from its women’s beach volleyball team have been selected for the ASUN All-Conference teams, with Claire Mrukowski earning First Team All-ASUN honors.

The recognition highlights the achievements of several players during a season described as one of the most successful in program history. The announcement matters because it reflects both individual and team accomplishments, setting new standards for Jacksonville’s beach volleyball program.

Mrukowski is the first Dolphin since 2016 to be named to the First Team All-ASUN. She anchored the team’s top pairing throughout the season, finishing with 16 wins at the No. 1 position and securing key victories over nationally ranked opponents including Stetson and Eastern Kentucky University (EKU). Her performance also helped Jacksonville achieve its first win over Florida International University (FIU) in program history. “Her performance this season propelled her to fifth all-time in career wins at Jacksonville, while playing a pivotal role in the Dolphins setting a new program standard for regular season victories,” according to the university’s statement.

Freshman Megan Hair matched Mrukowski’s production at No. 1 pairing with 16 wins, tying a program record for most freshman-season victories and earning Second Team All-ASUN as well as All-Freshman Team honors. Katie Martinez was recognized on Second Team All-ASUN after recording 19 wins—the second-most in a single season by any Dolphin—and became just the fourth player in school history to surpass fifty career wins.

Maddie Fiedler joined Hair on the All-Freshman Team after posting sixteen victories and contributing to multiple records alongside Martinez, including ASUN Pair of the Week honors following an undefeated weekend at North Florida. Fiedler and Hair are now among eight Dolphins ever named to an ASUN All-Freshman team; it is also noted that this is “the first time that two Dolphins have earned All-Freshman in the same season.” Additional strong performances came from Kate Taylor and Morgan Perry, who set records at their respective pairings.

Head coach Dylan Hough led Jacksonville through a historic campaign totaling fifteen regular-season wins—the most ever for the program—with multiple players entering school record books. The team aims to set another milestone by reaching sixteen total wins when they compete against North Alabama during Wednesday’s ASUN tournament opening round.
