Attorney General James Uthmeier has announced the arrest of Raymond Pine, a resident of West Palm Beach, on charges related to fentanyl trafficking. The Office of Statewide Prosecution is charging Pine with two felony counts for trafficking in fentanyl over 28 grams. His arrest was executed by the Broward Sheriff’s Office during a cocaine sale operation.

“Florida law enforcement continues to crack down heavily on the dangerous fentanyl in our communities,” stated Attorney General James Uthmeier. “Mr. Pine pushed out enough fentanyl to kill entire neighborhoods, and our Statewide Prosecutors will make sure he stays behind bars for a long time. If you traffic this poison in Florida, we’re coming for you.”

The investigation into Pine began in April 2025, conducted by the Broward Sheriff’s Office Gang Investigations Task Force. During this period, Pine allegedly sold more than 750 grams of fentanyl to undercover officers. Authorities discovered that he stored narcotics at residences in West Palm Beach and Boynton Beach.

Drugs seized at the time of his arrest included approximately 1,096 grams of cocaine. In West Palm Beach, officers recovered 718 grams of fentanyl, 947 grams of heroin, 245 grams of MDMA, 14.5 grams of Xanax, 9 grams of oxycodone, 7.5 grams of cocaine, and 955 grams of cannabis. At the Boynton Beach residence, they found an additional 2,881 grams of cannabis and 28 grams of fentanyl.

Raymond Pine is currently detained at Broward County Jail without bond as he awaits transport to Palm Beach County for prosecution. The charges against him carry a mandatory minimum sentence of 25 years each and could lead to a maximum sentence of up to 60 years if convicted.

Assistant Statewide Prosecutor Kristin Howe will oversee the case.
