William Jared Breski, a 37-year-old resident of Eastpoint, Florida, has been indicted by a federal grand jury on several charges related to child sex crimes. The charges include one count of attempted enticement of a minor, one count of attempted transmission of obscene material to minors, and one count relating to penalties for registered sex offenders. The announcement was made by John P. Heekin, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida.

Breski appeared in federal court for his arraignment before United States Magistrate Judge Martin A. Fitzpatrick in Tallahassee. His jury trial is set for April 20, 2026, and will be presided over by District Court Judge Robert L. Hinkle.

If found guilty, Breski could face a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison up to life imprisonment for the attempted enticement charge. He also faces up to 10 years for the attempted transmission of obscene material charge and an additional 10 years’ imprisonment consecutive to any other sentence if convicted on the penalties for registered sex offender charge.

The investigation was conducted by the Leon County Sheriff’s Office and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations. Assistant United States Attorney Justin M. Keen is prosecuting the case.

According to the Department of Justice: “An indictment is merely an allegation by a grand jury that a defendant has committed a violation of federal criminal law and is not evidence of guilt. All defendants are presumed innocent and entitled to a fair trial, during which it will be the government’s burden to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt at trial.”

This prosecution falls under Project Safe Childhood, an initiative started in May 2006 aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse through coordination among federal, state, and local agencies. More information about Project Safe Childhood can be found at www.projectsafechildhood.gov.
