The Cordova Inn opened a major addition to its downtown St. Petersburg hotel on April 16, offering guests 65 new rooms that expand the property from its original 30-room historic inn. The new spaces are designed to accommodate families and larger groups, with room sizes ranging from 310 to 750 square feet.

This expansion is intended to provide more lodging options for visitors seeking a central location within walking distance of shops, restaurants, offices, and museums. The project also includes plans for a restaurant and rooftop bar set to open later this year.

New Hotel Collection owns the Cordova Inn and has worked with Reno Boyd Building Company and Place Architecture on the four-story, 56,000-square-foot addition since construction began in 2023. Throughout the process, the adjacent historic building—originally built in 1921—remained open along with its popular bar, The Scott.

“We are thrilled to give downtown St. Petersburg visitors another great option for a high-quality hotel stay, as we can now cater to people looking for newer, more spacious space,” said Tommy Del Zoppo, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of New Hotel Collection. “The new Cordova gives our guests a home base to explore all the great things our city has to offer.”
