Of the 21,339,762 citizens living in Florida in 2021, 80% were old enough to vote, equating to 17,078,449 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 8,311,172 were male, constituting 48.7%, and 8,767,277 were female, making up 51.3%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Florida during 2021 was higher than the national average, which stands at 77.5%.
